Summary/Responsibilities 

  • Consult with assigned hotels in the development and management of revenue/yield strategies, commercial Strategies and digital strategies. 
  • Proactive implementation of agreed-upon strategies and tactical delivery. Includes specific tasks encompassing all facets of pricing, demand analysis, yield management, market segmentation, business mix, selling strategies and tactics in accordance with worldwide best practices. 
  • Collaborate with Commercial Sales Specialists assigned to each property. Support hotels with Pricing, account activation and leads using account intelligence. Assist with account production analysis and insights.
  • Consult, configure and maintain sales systems e.g. Meeting Broker, e-Proposal, and CVENT systems. May include support with business cases and lead response. 
  • Partner with the hotel to develop affiliate and partnership strategies. 
  • Operate in a matrix management environment to support the overall goals of the organization, with a focus on increasing revenues and RGI (revenue growth index) position.  Provide feedback to Global Brand Services/Revenue Management to ensure hotel needs and revenue-generating improvements are incorporated into system enhancements or best practices. Investigate and communicate new ways to capture optimal revenue potential. May lead and review the work of less experienced staff by providing mentoring, technical guidance and/or training in daily activities.
  • Consult with key managerial groups and applicable personnel (i.e., Franchisees, Principal Correspondents, General Managers, Hotel Revenue Managers, Operations Teams, etc.) to identify hotel issues/concerns concerning revenue improvement plans.  Monitor, identify and persuasively communicate needed changes to existing tactical and strategic plans to optimize revenue potential and RGI position. 
  • Act as Franchise liaison and serve as department expert with regards to analysis, reporting, types of data, frequency of update, and potential gaps.
  • Provide support and liaise with stakeholders including Regional VP, Field Marketing, Loyalty & Partner services, Global Revenue Strategy and Franchise Performance Support etc.

Education – 

  • Bachelor's or relevant degree in Hotel Management, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Experience –

  • 5+ years progressive work-related experience in hotel operations management, revenue management, sales management or consulting, with at least 3+ years working in a property level or above property level commercial sales or sales leadership role. 3+ years of revenue management experience and knowledge in hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimization and selling strategies.

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills designed to provide information to clients, vendors and senior management staff. Demonstrated effective conflict management/resolution and negotiation/persuasion skills to persuade GMs, Principal Correspondent personnel and other hotel representatives to modify or implement various corporate-sponsored programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry and market trends as they relate to revenue opportunities and demonstrated ability to drive revenue. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective hotel pricing concepts, yield management and selling strategies, digital channel process and hotel commercial sales concepts and processes., and ability to determine which concepts to apply in given market conditions.
  • Demonstrated experience in industry training, including preparation, implementation and delivery of training programs.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to use the results of the analysis to make effective strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/clients required. 
  • Preferably Fluent in French (Verbal & Written)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position will be in a home office environment; however, while travelling this position will be expected to be completely proficient at working from hotels, airports/aeroplanes, remote offices and/or locations.
