Your day to day

If you're keen to create different styles of cuisine, learn tricks of the trade and work with a tight-knit, creative team - then this role is the next step in your culinary career. As a Chef de Partie, you will look after a section and prepare an array of dishes catering for our two venues, Shutters and Estate, overseeing the preparation and presentation of a consistent food product which exceeds customer's expectations. Your culinary passion and creativity will flow through into your presentation and you’ll pride yourself on delivering a fantastic culinary experience for guests. 

On the daily you'll provide support to the brigade and you’ll also encourage more junior members of the team in their learning and growth by mentoring and inspiring them with your passion for food, service and teamwork. You'll be diligent and adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.




What we need from you

The successful candidate will have the right to work in Australia and a minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Chef with demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management capacity. They will be a team player with a passion for culinary arts coupled, formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary arts, previous experience with a variety of modern cuisines. Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster is crucial as nights, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job.

A flair for producing innovative food concepts is a must in addition to an ability to work under pressure whilst being organised, optimistic and effective in fast-paced situations.
