Duties and Responsibilities 

As Assistant Director of Sales - Leisure, I will assume responsibility for the efficient operation of the Sales & Marketing department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards. My key role is to drive the right business at the right price to ensure the resort achieves budgeted occupancy, rate and revenue. 

The duties and responsibilities will include: 

  • As Assistant Director of Sales - Leisure (USA/South America & UK) I will look after the account management and business development of the leisure market with focus on luxury consortia, contracted FIT and leisure travel partners in order to achieve and overachieve the set budget and targets.
  • Contract, manage and develop luxury consortia and luxury leisure accounts.
  • Prospect ongoing new accounts and business opportunities. 
  • Create, update and follow a strategic action plan, which will be shared with the DOSM on a regular basis.
  • Participate in national and international sales activities, industry events and roadshows with 
  • Six Senses, IHG and own targeted sales visits.
  • Discuss and highlight to the DOSM and Marketing Team new business opportunities and
  • be involved creating the budget and commercial plan for the hotel. 
  • Ensure an accurate reporting through the hotels' CRM system.
  • Ensure all set promotions and relevant updates for the leisure market are communicated in the assigned territories.
  • Continually focus on revenue generation and profile building for our property and for Six Senses. Marketing strategies and tactics will be constantly assessed to remain relevant and effective. 

Qualifications

To execute the position of Assistant Director of Sales - Leisure, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following: 

  • Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Hotel or Business Management and more than three years’ experience in a senior sales role – looking after the USA and the UK market.
  • Technical skills include Advanced MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including PMS and CRM platforms.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
