Advanced Analytics Consultant

Role Purpose

Generate insights and support decision making across a broad spectrum of problems involving customer and loyalty. Lead impactful initiatives and mentor others through deep familiarization of data assets, analytical tools, and advanced analytics techniques.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop a strong business knowledge of IHG Rewards program
• Provide ad hoc analytics support to internal clients (Loyalty & Partnerships) such as robust statistical analyses, predictive modeling, and simulations and scenario analyses
• Design and publish dashboards catering to the needs of clients
• Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to senior leaders
• Act as main point of contact when manager is out
   

Key Skills & Experiences

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related quantitative field with 5 or more years of progressive work experience in analytics; or master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science or a related field with 3 or more years of progressive work experience in analytics

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficiency in DBMS like Teradata and Google BigQuery
• Expertise in data manipulation using SQL, Pandas, etc.
• Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as K-NN, K-means, NLP, Naive Bayes, SVM, XGBoost, Random Forest etc. 
• Knowledgeable about statistical concepts such as parametric distributions, hypothesis testing, regression, etc.
• Experience with common data science toolkits in R or Python
• Experience working with major cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau and ability to use such tools for quantitative analysis 
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
