The InterContinental® Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa will comprise 351 keys, a health club, a spa, and two pools. Covering an area of 43,770 sq. m, the resort is a short drive from famous archaeological sites such as Dhayah Fort and Sheba’s Palace.

Your day to day

As the Sales Manager - Wedding you will be responsible on managing destination wedding market with the aim to generate and maximize the hotel revenue and market share. The key to this role is building relationships and developing networks within the account’s portfolios in order to increase revenue and conversion. You will validate potential accounts and create account plans as per the IHG® hotels standard operating procedures. You will gather information on current and prospective clients / contacts to generate incremental business. You will maintain effective control of sales expenses. You will use both account interaction and publicly available tools to monitor competitors' activities as it relates to both the hotel and the portfolio of accounts and share relevant information with key stakeholders in line with hotel procedures. You will provide feedback to management on changing market conditions, including competition and market trends. You will accurately and timely be updating the record of all relevant activities in the provided Sales System (i.e., Delphi; Opera; etc.) for future reference and control purposes. You will develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.

What we need from you

The ideal candidate will have experience in a luxury five-star resort environment or equivalent. You will have demonstrated capability in influencing and impacting business strategy and have strong financial, analytical, and business acumen partnered with and understanding of industry dynamics and trends. You will be a change agent with the ability to work alongside a team and collaborate with key stakeholders with a sense of urgency. Strategic thinking and the ability to explore new ways of working and be open minded on how we can drive the Resort forward will be highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work with guests and champion a brand is also a must.
