Your day to day

InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort is looking for a passionate Hotel Services Assistant Manager to join our Front Office operations. On shift, you’ll help to oversee the daily operation of the front desk, ensuring that the arrival and departure experience is smooth, efficient and in line with our InterContinental brand standards for all guests.

You will be the first touch point for arriving guests and as such will need to perform to the highest standards. You will respond to guest needs and resolve any issues that arise confidently and independently as well as supporting other colleagues with difficult and challenging guest interactions.

Reporting to the Executive Assistant Manager, you'll supervise the Front Office team, and will be involved in the delivery of on job training for new and existing colleagues and as such will need to stay informed and up to date with new and emerging hotel and IHG policies, procedures and initiatives.  In addition, you will have the ability to do step up Duty Manager shifts as required.




What we need from you

The ideal candidate may have;

  • Previous experience in a similar role, or be an experienced Team Leader looking for your next leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiastic to work within a team, experience in delivering a high level of guest experience in a hotel environment
  • The ability to work a rotating roster including, late evenings, weekends and public holidays and Australian work rights, with no restrictions, is also a must.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence.
