At InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort we are looking for Assistant Event Services Manager to join our Events Team.
Your day to day
In this role, you’ll be able to combine your passion of hospitality, and bringing to life unforgettable guest experiences with the opportunity to work closely with the Food and Beverage leadership team supporting and leading the Banquets operation, and our experienced team.
The moment a guest arrives at one of our events, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. And in this key pivotal role reporting to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll work closely with the event planning team to ensure the smooth and efficient service of event operations; co-ordinating the day to day operations of the events space to achieve set financial and guest experience targets.
You will also be responsible for developing and motivating colleagues and promoting a positive team culture where our colleagues are driven and empowered to deliver a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life. In addition having coaching and developing all team members around departmental ways of working and ensuring the team has been up skilled to work across multiple outlets within the food & beverage operation. You will also support the Resort’s responsible business priorities around our community and environmental initiatives.
What we need from you
The ideal candidate must have;
- Leadership experience within a large event operation, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
- An outgoing and positive person with the ability to work alongside a team who is looking for an opportunity to use your technical skills in a diverse and challenging but exciting environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays across a seven day roster.
- A current Australian driver’s license and Queensland RSA
- Meet the legal requirements to work in this country with no restrictions.
