As Senior Marketing & Communications Executive for Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road and Holiday Inn Express Kota Kinabalu City Centre, you will be under the general guidance and supervision of the Marketing & Communications Manager, and within the limits of established InterContinental Hotel Group policies and procedures.
You will influence booking behaviours into the hotel through creating & deployment of solid distribution marketing and social media practices in support of hotels & IHG initiatives to increase system distribution including but not limited to channel shifting, TPI enforcement, increased e-visibility & position etc. Additionally, maintain a comprehensive understanding & knowledge of market & competitor activities & behaviour.
Support a Marketing Plan which promotes and maintain the prestigious image of the hotel. This includes managing social media accounts (conceptualized – artwork and caption).
Duties to include:
·Independent in copywriting and conceptualisation of artworks to support internal and external stakeholders in all marketing and communications information in an accurate and timely manner ie. EDM to promote hotel package, third party travel agencies and magazines, directories, Invitation cards to media events and other supporting collaterals (signages, brand ads in print and digital formats)
·Familiar and have hands-on experience with these channels: Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Brand website, OTAs, Email.
·Savvy in Canva, Photoshop, Creator Studio. Able to conceptualise and design artwork
·Manage social media marketing platforms and respond to all guests' feedback and enquiries in a timely and professional manner in accordance with brands' standards.
·Support all IHG and Hotel marketing initiatives and participate in all Public Relations activities.
·Maintains regular good contact with media and be involved in media entertainment, conducts familiarisation tour and site inspection for visiting media and journalists (including but not limiting to business partners, visitors/convention bureau, government departments and other producers closely allied to hotel's business)
· Work closely with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups within the city to ensure constant high profile exposure for the hotel.
·Help prepare the hotel marketing plan by coordinating with vendors/suppliers and sourcing for quotations.
·Securing partnerships ·Ensures that photography and hotel content is well maintained and updated as per brands standards
·Coordinates, maintains and utilises an updated database of contacts for promotions.
·Recommends and implements all promotional and marketing opportunities on GDS channels, Online Travel Agents' websites, online weddings reference websites and related magazines (for rooms and food & beverage business)
·Competitor set analysis ·Identifies opportunities for IHG Rewards and IHG Business Rewards channels to further enhance hotel business.
·Effectively communicate and market aspects of the hotel that are sustainable or “green” and use the information to gain new business opportunities.
·Ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to deliver.
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Marketing, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Digital Marketing or equivalent.
