Your day-to-day:

• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques 

• Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of pastries, cakes, bread, and other desserts, following established recipes and techniques

• To ensure that daily food preparations meet outline recipes including portion size, quantity, and quality

• To assist the Pastry Chef in the creation of desserts, afternoon tea, and bread 

• To assist in the decoration of pastries, including piping, glazing, and garnishing

• Support Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in the daily operation and work 

• Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie 

• Keep the work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hotel 

• Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control 

• Control food stock and food cost in his section

• Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites 

• Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks 


What we need from you:

• Previous experience in a pastry or bakery 

• Strong knowledge of different pastry techniques, including dough preparation, baking, and decorating 

• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices 

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. 

• A passion for learning and a drive to succeed in a culinary/hospitality career 

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment 

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
