Your day to day

If you're keen to create different styles of cuisine, learn tricks of the trade and work with a tight-knit, creative team - then this role is the next step in your culinary career. The kitchen team will deliver innovative and guest-focused menus, on seasonal rotation, across the hotel's Restaurant & Bar, Rooftop Bar, Room Service, and event spaces. Your culinary passion and creativity will flow through into your presentation and you’ll pride yourself on delivering a fantastic culinary experience for guests, with an emphasis on maintaining hygienic standards and consistency.

You must hold unlimited and unrestricted rights to work in Australia.

What we need from you

The ideal candidate for this role will be an existing Commis with a strong restaurant or hotel experience. You will have"

  • A Commercial cookery qualifications and at least 12 months experience in a commercial kitchen environment
  • Previous experience in 5 start hotel will be an advantage
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload
  • Look smart – wear your uniform with pride and adhere to personal grooming and hygiene standard
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster – nights, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • Candidates must hold current Australian working rights suitable to the position to be considered.
