  • Support the Sales leadership in the development of segment strategy
  • Manage and develop portfolio of accounts to maximize market share and revenue
  • Develop and review account plans and account profiles at least annually with such templates completed and posted to appropriate communication channels and sales systems
  • Develop deep understanding and knowledge of assigned accounts, and gain specific sector expertise when necessary
  • Utilize internal intelligence and develop analytical capability to understand market share and drive IHG preference through account base
  • Other duties and responsibilities

         o  Negotiate and complete RFPs and tenders

         o  Attend meetings as required

         o  Exercises flexibility to perform other duties as required

         o  Assist with familiarizations and entertaining as required

         o  Organize and support customer events

         o  Act as a resource for on-property sales staff

         o  Provides feedback to management on changing market conditions, including trends in competition

         o  Be proactive and responsible for the follow up of new sales leads

         o  Develop and maintain contact with key business generators (TPIs, etc.)

         o  Promote IHG portfolio through fairs and conferences, in professional and industry groups

         o  Maintain effective control of sales expenses

         o  Support global or local loyalty campaigns



  • Participate in team and account planning activities
  • Work in conjunction with relevant functions to execute sales strategy
  • Work with the appropriate hotels to ensure clear communication of expectations and goals
  • Communicate to his/her superior any issues encountered and other relevant information
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and other meetings as required


Guest Experience

  • Process customer inquiries in accordance to specified IHG service standards
  • Timely prepare and submit proposals
  • Timely develop and deliver relevant documentation to the customer


Responsible Business

  • Develop awareness and reputation of IHG in the local community
  • Seek opportunities to communicate and closely align clients’ corporate priorities and IHG’s Corporate Responsibility framework
  • Ensure accurate and timely record of all relevant activities and customer information in IHG Javelin and other relevant systems for future reference and control purposes

Your day to day


  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business or Hospitality Management


  • Hospitality industry Sales experience preferably with 2-4 years in a multi-unit capacity
  • Experience in dealing with international and regional clients and promoting multi hotel brand and destinations is preferred


Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines and commitments, and complete tasks and projects as required
  • Strong organizational skills required to maintain electronic and paper filing systems
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge pertaining to policy and procedure and communicate knowledge effectively to all personnel when applicable
  • Demonstrate clear and effective verbal and written skills for the purpose of obtaining and conveying information to clients, management and team members as well as producing reports
  • Excellent command of both English and Chinese (Mandarin), oral and written
  • Excellent PC skills (including MS Office)
  • Experience working in multi-cultural or international settings
  • Significant work experience in customer facing, revenue generating roles including management experience
