Key Accountabilities\

  • Works with Owners, Strategic partners, and the Design Team Leader to deliver IHG goals, manage Luxury & Lifestyle Branded Design Portfolio & Standards. 
  • Works closely with Hotel Openings, Conversions, Engineering and Cross Functional teams including Development, Legal, Brands, Operations team in the review of pipeline projects and delivery of internal workstreams
  • Reviews of all aspects of design process to ensure optimized operational and owner ROI driven design. This entails an aptitude for space and facility planning, architecture, interior design, restaurant & bar, construction, and project management techniques. Key projects will require reporting to senior IHG corporate executives supported by Team Leader.
  • Review hotel post-opening with Operations, prepare Property Improvement Plans (PIP) to include on-site evaluations and execution of PIP plans. 
  • Provides technical assistance to owners in the development of project improvement plans and consults on interior design and other related activities ensuring operational and cost efficiency.
  • Works closely with Engineering function to collaborate on new, conversion or renovation project and related costs to ensure objectives are achieved and consistency in standards.


Key Skills & Experiences

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture and/or Interior Design/Project Management. 

Experience

  • 8+ years progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes related to the position as well as project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing large scale luxury hospitality projects from conception through implementation.
  • Strong team leadership experience. Having managed a team preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural design and construction principles and understanding of applicable local codes.

  • Flexible interpersonal style; creative, effective communication and management skills; strong influencing skills; experience in a multi-national environment
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information for clients, vendors and staff as well as communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.   
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross functional work groups, train and develop new members.
  • Ability in providing quick sketches/ visuals on design ideas and amendments to owners.
