Your day to day

Under the direction of the Reception Manager, the Rooms Coordinator is responsible for to support reception operation as required. The primary responsibility is to build collaboration within and between departments that needs daily coordination. 

  • Carry out any kind of administrative tasks or responsibilities within the Front office
  • Handle all guest communication pre- arrival and post- farewell
  • Perform courtesy calls, and follow up on guest requests
  • Daily coordination with the Housekeeping, and other required departments
  • Prepares welcome letters, checks amenities and inspects VIP rooms
  • Responsible for managing / balancing the inventory
  • Update all guest preference and profiles to ensure a seamless guest arrival
  • Supporting the Reception with the check in and check out of guests & lobby duty

What we need from you

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

  • Communication skills – guests and colleagues will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
  • Your time management skills will be important for you to prioritize the tasks under pressure.
  • Fluency in the English language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential
  • Literate and tech-savvy - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths and computers, Especially Opera
  • Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • You’ll have a high school diploma or qualification. A college or university degree would be a bonus, but not essential
  • Experience - ideally you’ll have spent at least one year in a front desk or guest service position
