Your day to day

Holiday Inn Melbourne on Flinders is currently looking for a solution orientated, result driven and professional Part Time Guest Service Agent to join our dynamic team. 

The moment a guest steps in to our hotel, they walk in to a genuinely memorable experience. As a Guest Service Agent, you'll not only be the person they rely on to anticipate every need, you'll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home, even when staying with us for an extended period. This is not your standard Guest Service Agent role, and in a​n agile COVID world we need to do things a little differently, and therefore we will ask for your flexibility and adaptivity. You will rely on your superior phone etiquette for the majority of guest interactions and will understand the importance of strictly adhering to policies and procedures to safeguard everyone. 




What we need from you

The ideal candidate will have experience in a hotel guest services role or similar, or possess relevant experience in a customer relations role. You will be up for any challenge and will be able to confidently adapt to new ways of working. ​You will be able to assist across all departments, including Food and Beverage, and will ideally hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate. 

You will be flexible to work a 7 day, 24 hour rotating roster with the ability to work weekends, evenings, overnights and public holidays as required by the hotel.

This will be a maximum term contract of up to 6 months, with the potential to convert to a permanent contract for the right candidate. Importantly, you must be able to work exclusively for this hotel for the duration of the contract period, not be engaged in any other paid or unpaid work, volunteering or on site education.  

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the legal requirements to work unrestricted in Australia.
