Your day to day

Being part of establishing this hotel in its first year of operation will a be a career highlight as you work with the leadership team to bring the Holiday Inn Brand to Dandenong. This exciting opportunity as the Manager of Finance and Business Support holds full responsibility for the financial operations and security of the hotel's assets. Working side by side with the General Manager your financial influence and skills will allow you to report on, and make suggestions to improve hotel profitability across your hotel. You'll be the first point of contact for all hotel financial and accounting-related issues with the owners, auditors (internal and external) and regulatory agencies. You will be required to provide timely financial analysis and reporting for effective decision making to the hotel Leadership Team, in addition to driving superior financial performance of the hotel. You will be the key financial business support to all stakeholders of the business.

What we need from you

To be successful in this role, you will have: • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce • Professional accounting or certification such as CPA or ICA is preferred • 4-8 years’ experience in hotel accounting or audit with at least 3+ years in a Financial management role • Knowledge of accounting management duties eg. negotiating hotel space and tenant leases, processing payroll, performing asset management duties, providing business projections, displacement analysis and preparing government reports • Strong leadership skills • Excellent communication and strong analytical skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively and champion change • Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and priorities at a time
