The Manager, Communications, will manage hotel communications for the Americas Operations and Global Marketing business functions. 

  • Develop communication strategies and implement processes, activities and programs that result in consistent messages and timely dissemination of information to increase awareness of the business functions’ activities and enhance understanding 

  • Accountable for end-to-end management of strategic communications plans including development, design and writing to support adoption, increase awareness and enhance understanding for stakeholder groups (internal, corporate colleagues and hotels)  

  • Coordinate communication efforts with other stakeholder groups so that consistent messages are being received by shared audiences, such as internal, corporate colleagues and hotels 

  • Weekly channel management of the AMER Hotel Bulletin, the key communications channel for hotels, alongside another Manager on the team, as well as the internal, weekly Winning Together newsletter for Americas Operations 

  • Provide expert counsel on communications best practices, channels and execution  

  • Serve as a key partner to senior leadership and their teams 

  • Review and edit all major communications before distribution 

  • Proactively develop newsletters, announcements, news stories, plans and/or strategies to disseminate key functional initiatives, programs and events for designated groups of employees and hotels to drive adoption, awareness and engagement 

  • Work with management to ensure the tone and style of communications are consistent 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU 

Education – 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in journalism, marketing or other related discipline or relevant work experience 

Experience – 

  • 5+ years of communications experience, preferably with a focus on internal communications  

  • Corporate and/or agency experience working within a global organization 

Technical Skills & Knowledge – 

  • Demonstrated exceptional writing and messaging skills 

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking 

  • Demonstrated effective project management experience in understanding the planning and execution of large-scale projects from conception through implementation and how communications support these projects 

  • Proven ability to build confidence and trust with senior executives 

  • Excels in creative and innovative approaches to communications programs 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Ability to work with tight deadlines 

  • Marketing or technology experience preferred
