voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley is looking for a full time Handyperson to join our Engineering team. This role will be responsible for supporting Maintenance Supervisor with the maintenance of the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings around the Hotel.


Your day to day

As an efficient self starter you'll be able to work with limited supervision, with your primary responsibilities being:

  • To repair and maintain all aspects of the Hotels interior and exterior finishes. This will include walls, floors, facades, ceilings, furniture, doors, windows and equipment in accordance with IHG standards.
  • Preventative maintenance and repair of equipment and services
  • Ensure all regulations involving WH&S standards and safe working practices are followed
  • Carry out various duties necessary to maintain resort operations.
  • Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance schedules are carried out on services and equipment including telephone and data systems and hotel equipment.


What we need from you

  • Previous experience in commercial painting is desired but not essential
  • Ability to communicate with people across all departments
  • Ability to maintain high and consistent standards
  • Good organisational skills and grooming standards
  • A valid NSW driver's licence with a clean driving record to operate hotel vehicles
  • Australian working rights
