We’re on the lookout for true leaders. We need a new General Manager to take the top job at the Crowne Plaza Berlin and make it their own. You will take ownership of the day-to-day hotel direction, maximising financial returns, driving people development, and empowering our team to create memorable guest experiences every step along the way.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Berlin, 1.4 km from the shops and corporate offices and opposite the Tempodrom event venue. It’s an easy stroll to many attractions including Tiergarten park, the Brandenburg Gate and Museum Island. The hotel offers 256 rooms as well as a dining area, bar, conference facilities with 8 flexible meeting rooms, large-scale reception facilities for up to 250 guests, a 24-hour fitness centre, and a spa. One of the highlights of the hotel is the award winning Layla Restaurant which serves Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine by Meir Adoni.

 

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Developing programmes and initiatives to increase team engagement and achieve against performance and development goals
  • Maintaining compliance with all required brand and service standards – collaborating with colleagues to exceed guest expectations
  • Building relationships with guests and external contacts such as current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers, and local communities
  • Leading annual capital, cash flow and sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets  
  • Driving revenues, future profitability, and maximum return on investment

 

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration 
  • 5 to 10 years’ prior hotel management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management experience essential
  • Languages: German & English
