Your day to day

As the hotel General Manager your day to day responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the operations of the hotel, as per the Organizational chart.
  • Hold regular briefings and meetings with all department heads.
  • Ensure all compliance to hotel operating controls, SOP's, policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Lead all key property issues capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
  • Handling complaints, and oversee the service recovery procedures.
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel and management.
  • Deliver hotel's budget goals and set other short and long term strategic goals for the property.
  • Developing improvement actions , carry out cost savings initiatives.
  • A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies.
  • Closely monitor the hotel's business reports on a daily basis and make decisions accordingly.
  • Maximize room yield and hotel revenues through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.  
  • Prepare a monthly financial reporting for Corporate and owners.
  • Helping with the procurement of operating supplies and equipment, and contracting with third party vendors for essential equipment and services.
  • Act as the final decision maker on hiring of key staff.
  • Coordination with department heads for the execution of all activities and functions.
  • Overseeing all departments and working closely with department heads on a daily basis.
  • Manage and develop all Sunset Hotel Associates to ensure guest satisfaction.

 




What we need from you

The Sunset Hotel Group is currently seeking an experienced and energetic General Manager for its 90 room Holiday Inn & Suites located in Lititz, Pennsylvania. We will also consider an exceptional Assistant General manager with a proven job history and track record, that is looking to make that next step in their career to a General manager position.

This individual must have the ability to be an outstanding leader, to take the property to the next level and can provide exceptional guest service and leadership in the pursuit to achieve 100% guest satisfaction.

What we offer

We offer a competitive market salary ($52,000 to $65,000) based on the candidates experience for this position. We also offer benefits as outlined in our company handbook that include vacation time, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, etc.
