Your day to day
As Events Meeting Manager you’ll make sure all our client meetings and events run smoothly - acting as both brand ambassador and trusted partner – you’ll connect internal teams to deliver a seamless experience for planners, hosts, and meeting attendees.
• Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – linking up departments to create a sense of one team • Direct everyday activity, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers • Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues • Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect • Recommend or initiate any HR-related actions where needed • Interact with outside contacts: guests, vendors, and other contacts as needed
What we need from you
Ideally, to successfully fill this role, you should have an educational degree, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business administration, or a relevant field of work with 4 to 5 years of progressive work-related experience in an upscale hotel. A confident communicator with strong interpersonal strong skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment and ever-shifting priorities. Must be a team player, have strong interpersonal skills, and work well independently as well as part of a team, flexible attitude, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
