The InterContinental® Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa will comprise 351 keys, a health club, spa and two pools. Covering an area of 43,770 sq. m, the resort is a short drive from famous archaeological sites such as Dhayah Fort and Sheba’s Palace.
Your day to day
As the Director of Marketing & PR, you will maintain strong relations with media. You will set the CSR strategy for the hotel and connect with the local community. You will support achieving the budgeted revenues and personal/team goals to maximize hotel profitability. You will participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel marketing plan and business plan, and financial plans. You will create and implement PR plans and set budgets that help promote room, food & beverage and banquet sales. You will work closely with assigned marketing and PR agency to execute hotel marketing and PR plans effectively. You will ensure content and pictures on the hotel brand website; individual website and all OTA websites is up to date and the hotel is ranking high in search results on key online review websites. You will attend events locally and nationally to promote the hotel and to build a profile and increase marketing opportunities for the hotel. You will direct day-to-day PR activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. You will keep good relationships with corporate level team members for PR, Content and Social media and ensure their trainings and buy-ins are always mandated.
What we need from you
InterContinental® Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa is scheduled to open Q3 2021 and we are now seeking for creative and socially intelligent Director of Marketing and PR, who will develop and implement Marketing, PR & Communications strategies to maintain the hotel positioning and image as a 5-star luxury property.
To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field, and six or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience. . You must be well versed in speaking and reading the English Language. You must have the ability to travel and attend workshops, trade-shows, conventions, etc. You must have a hotel luxury, five star or resort background. Pre-opening experience will be an advantage.
