Role Purpose
Support Singapore and Malaysia hotels by providing guidance to the hotel teams with an aim to drive hotel performance and maximizing / leveraging on IHG global scale and resources. This role will lead the planning and development of all market commercial strategies and plans and the building of a high performing culture within the team, with strong talent pipeline. They will ensure tools and initiatives are shared and being used by hotel teams, create champions and lead business reviews and communication. Building Market level relationships with key stakeholders and partners and leveraging these for performance and partnership opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
- Works closely with Commercial leadership, Revenue Leads, General Managers, and hotel teams to drive business performance, complete planning reviews, and develop performance driving country commercial strategies and tactics
- Builds plans and strategies to drive the IHG enterprise, particularly Digital %. Working in detail with focus hotels.
- Works closely with MSS to create and execute a marketing plan for the country, including any partnerships and PR.
- Work closely with all Global Directors of Regional Sales, Account Directors and Regional Sales teams in the key account strategies, RFPs, MICE, Leisure and TPI accounts an
- d pursuit of new business for hotels
- Ensure hotels have Champions assigned for all IHG Programs & Tools and promotes cross selling within assigned sister hotels across the region
- Works closely with stakeholders to develop and execute a medium to long term market plan and priorities
- Support the launch and embedding of new and existing tools to the hotel community, ensuring they are used.
- Build strong market level relationships with key stakeholders, government entities and commercial partners. Leverage these to support the performance or brand awareness agenda in market
- Coordinates and shares feedback within assigned hotels on market intelligence and competitor’s sales/ promotion efforts.
- Supports NHOP’s in talent acquisition & coaching/ buddy role once hotel DOSM appointed
- Ensure hotels and DOSM’s are aware of the key training opportunities available across Sales and Marketing and that they are completing in line with development plans
Key Skills & Experiences
Experience
Proven track record in performance driving across multiple units and ideally multiple markets, and/or strong Commercial, Brand and Marketing experience.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence peers and management
- Strong team / culture leadership ability and team development and succession planning
- Core Commercial Skills – Sales, Marketing, PR, Channels and Revenue Management
- Cultural understanding of Singapore and Malaysia and SEA regions
