Your day to day1. Manage, lead and develop the hotel sales and marketing team to support the sales and marketing strategies and to deliver exceptional, profitable sales growth and results. 2. Provide strategic sales and marketing leadership to ensure the hotel achieves profitable revenue growth, continues to increase market share, develop innovative selling competencies, and builds a sustainable industry leadership position for the hotel/resort. 3. Continuously solicit for new business that expands our client base using action plans focused on the market segment identified in the annual business and marketing plan. 4. Advise the hotel management team on sales and marketing direction, competitors, marketing trends, including e-marketing and distribution technology trends. 5. Fully understand how the hotel is regarded in the community in conjunction with a thorough knowledge of the competitive situation in terms of business mix of competitors, pricing and rate structures, sales and advertising strategies and future hotel planning within the community. 6. Interact closely with all other hotel departments 7. Complete and explain detailed marketing plans for all revenue generating divisions inclusive of but not limited to Club Floors, Restaurant & Bars, Rooms, etc. 8. Analyse marketing opportunities • Manage marketing information and measures market demand • Analyse market segments and buying behavior • Manage life-cycle strategies • Analyse threats and opportunities from the competitive set undefined. Plan marketing programmes • Direct brand management and product packaging according to the company’s guidelines • Work with the Revenue team to design pricing strategies • Select and direct results from marketing channels • Work with Marketing Communications to develop advertising strategies and tactics 9. What we need from you• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field • Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team • Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required • Other languages preferred
