Your day to day

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for cooking the culinary delights within our restaurant venues with the support of a strong and dynamic team. This is an opportunity to really focus on the food and let your ingredient knowledge and creativity shine. With your strength in banqueting and food production behind you, you’ll have freedom to work with varied cuisines and ingredients to execute and influence a rotational menu 40-50 meals deep that will allow you to cook fundamental favourites through to seasonal specials.




What we need from you

We are seeking three Chef de Partie’s to join our Kitchen team. Our passionate foodies and experienced leaders must have:

• A formal Commercial Cookery Certification

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a talented Chef de Partie or be a strong Demi Chef ready to take your next step

• Demonstrated performance in a hotel or resort environment, preferably in a complex property with multiple restaurants, bars and banqueting department

• Strong skill base and experience in a la carte, banqueting and buffet food production

• Experience and capability to deliver on the expectations of a modern and contemporary guest experience

• Possess great attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills • Superior communication skills

• A working knowledge and understanding of HACCP procedures

• Flexible to work weekends and evenings across a 7-day roster

• Ability to relocate and live on Hayman Island, Queensland & commence position by 30th September 2021

• Comfortable with the hourly rate starting at $29.05 per hour ($60,000 per annum) on a permanent full time contract (Off-Shore Island Resort Collective Agreement, 2006) with a minimum of 40 hours per week Appropriate Australian working rights
