Our hotel is looking for a Business Development minded person to join our enthusiastic and friendly team at Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific as a Business Development Manager on a 12 month parental leave cover.

Your day to day

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will ensure that all Sales efforts of the hotel are aligned and optimized. This will be achieved through leading and driving the hotels sales strategy, supported by thorough revenue analysis and sales effectiveness, to meet hotel revenue targets. Partnering with the hotels Business Development and Conference, Event & Weddings teams, you will be responsible for the pursuit and securing of opportunities to enlarge the hotels MICE sales, social and event base. Through the co-management of an assigned account base you will ensure that the hotel exceeds targets with the implementation of effective sales plans and activities to drive total revenue, brand preference and market share growth. This role is a hands on Sales leadership opportunity, with scope to support operations, grow your business development and event planning skills. In conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will also oversee the performance of the Sales team, by keeping them focused and aligned on sales and marketing strategies, revenue driving plans and client relationship management.

For this vital role, we’re looking for someone who: • You'll be an approachable person and have a real passion for providing connecting and seamless service to ensure a memorable guest experience • Dynamic, vibrant, confident and professional personality • Sales Leader experience with at least 2-3 years demonstrated performance in a hotel environment within Australasia • As a highly proactive and motivated leader with strong drive and accountability, you will have an in depth knowledge of sales principles, techniques and stakeholder management • You will need to display your understanding of industry dynamics, trends, and discipline, in addition to your ability to develop strategic sales plans, establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and deliver projects on time • You will also have a high level of confidence in communicating and presenting analysed data and information both verbally and written • Superior communication skills • Detail oriented • High standard of personal presentation • You must meet the legal requirements to work in this country
