Located in the cultural heart of Geelong, opposite the Performing Arts Centre, a 10 minute walk to the well loved Kardinia Park and home to the Geelong Cats is the new Holiday Inn and Suites Geelong. 

Your day to day

Pre-Opening opportunities like this don't come around very often - so leading the Sales and Marketing strategy on such a brilliantly positioned hotel with a market leading brand is the next right step in your career journey.

This role will work closely with the General Manager and other key department leaders to position this new Suites brand in the cultural and sporting hub of Geelong. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the marketing and sales cycle and be driven by winning the right business for the hotel to achieve hotel revenue and room nights goals

You will successfully develop strong and productive relationships with key  enterprises, sporting groups and local business, with the aim of position the hotel as the accommodation provider of choice in the city.


What we need from you

To be successful in this role you’ll have demonstrated excellence in simultaneously driving both Sales and Marketing fields at a similar level as well as outstanding internal stakeholder and owner management, understanding of brand delivery and the ability to impact and influence the overall business agenda and execution. 

You will get a buzz out of hunting down business  with proven ability to be a key influencing voice - having worked with with local and state level sporting bodies, tourism and corporate organisations and be able to balance that with your great knowledge and experience. You will be forward thinking and innovative, with a warm and approachable manner.

Ideally, you will have bachelor's degree / higher education qualification/equivalent in marketing or related discipline, with a minimum of four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with recent experience independently driving the Sales and Marketing function.                          

In line with local employment law, you must have full working rights in Australia
