Banquet Attendants (Full Time) - Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley
The Hunter Valley region is renowned for innovative cuisine and fine wines, and our resort restaurants and bars are no exception. Our menu are seasonally designed around the gastronomic delights of locally sourced produce that embodies the true spirit of the Hunter region. Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley is home to the largest regional Conference & Events Centre in NSW, where we can cater for the smallest groups of 20 to our largest of 1750!
Our Food and Beverage Operations team is looking to for more amazing talent for our Conference & Events team. We are currently seeking full-time Banquet Attendants to bring our resort to life! Crowne Plaza Hunter is renowned for growing some of IHG’s greatest talent!
A little taste of your day-today:
As a member of our team, will perform the role effectively, you will be a great communicator and love to engage with people to create memorable experiences for our hotel conferencing groups by:
- Being the perfect host throughout our Banquet Operations meeting and connecting with our guests no matter the size of group; wedding, corporate function or social event
- Prepare coffee breaks, carts and stations with appropriate supplies
- Organize tables, buffets, and carts for service
- Setup and pack-down event spaces either indoor or outdoor
- Serve event food, beer, wine, champagne & spirits
- Be prepared for the many room flips for any event
- Communicate any additional meal requirements or special requests to the kitchen
- Ensure courses are properly cleared and crumbed in a timely fashion
- Manage the presentation of tableware so that it is accessible for the guests
- Be able to think quickly on your feet and solve problems promptly
- You’ll work with your kitchen colleagues to offer a seamless food service
- You’ll look after your outlet – keep it clean and tidy and make sure the alcohol is always secure. Clear glasses, food and other items all whilst having a friendly smile on your face
- You’ll be ready to jump into other ad-hoc duties when your colleagues need your help
What we need from you:
- Applicants must have a current RSA certification and full work rights in Australia.
- An eye for detail
- Flexible- nights, weekends, and holiday shifts are all part of the job

- You are committed to exceptional guest service
- Impeccable presentation and grooming is a must
- Strength – sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects (23 kg) such as banqueting tables & chairs etc
