Application Criteria and Process

If you are a Future Leader Aspire candidate, the minimum requirements include:
- Hospitality university degree (no experience required) OR
- University degree with 6 months relevant experience (supervisor level preferred) OR
- No degree and 12 months relevant experience (supervisor level preferred) OR
- You will demonstrate effective communication, great leadership qualities and a willingness to seek opportunities to learn and develop.
- You will have strong business acumen, are proactive, show initiative and thrive on a challenge.
- All applicants must have a good level of English language (written and verbal) and have the right to work in the location of the Future Leader Aspire vacancy.
Step 1 - Application and Online Assessment

If you meet out eligibility criteria you will be invited to complete an online assessment.
Step 2 - Competency Interview
An accelerated programme requires a certain type of person. An interview will help us determine if you have what it takes to accelerate your learning and your career in a fast-paced environment.
An additional interview may be required at a later stage to help us determine the right hotel fit for you.
Step 3 - Behavioural Assessment
Face to face assessments involving business simulation exercises will help us understand how you organise information and make decisions when presented with complex challenges.
Understanding how you work will not only help us in selection but will help inform your development needs for the future!
Step 4 - Final Offer
Once we are confident you have what it takes and have identified the right hotel fit for you, you will be presented with a IHG Future Leader Programme Offer, by your host hotel
