Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, a recently opened hotel, is looking for a service oriented Food and Beverage Supervisor to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The newly opened Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park includes 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.
Your day to day
- At all times you must be representative of the qualities of someone delivering Holiday Inn service standards. To provide warm, welcoming service without compromise to all guests.
- You will attend IHG training within the first month of your employment
- Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests.
- Provide for guests and patrons an experience and environment they feel meets their expectations.
- Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.
- Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to.
- Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.
- Set up systems to protect and maintain control of outlet service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.
- Set up and maintain a weekly cleaning schedule for the outlet to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.
- Ensure all beverages are concocted according to standard recipes and maintain beverage cost at the percentage detailed in the budget or as instructed by the Outlet Manager
- Ensure all mis-en-place is completed prior to guests arriving.
- Ensure staff are competent in all service procedures and they are able to maximise sales to guests.
- Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following Hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted.
- You will be familiar with the key elements of our fire emergency plan.
What we need from you
- Ideally, you have 1-2 years of similar or relative experience in a customer service (hotels preferred)
- Excellent English communication skills and well-versed in hotel systems.
- Amenable for working rotating shifts.
- Experience in pubs or bars is highly desirable
