We are looking for outstanding Public Areas Attendants to join our Housekeeping team as we open our newest hotel InterContinental Sorrento Mornington Peninsula. Look forward to 108 luxury guest rooms coupled vibrant restaurant & bar precinct and brand new wellness centre. This property will set a new standard for luxury in the Mornington Peninsula and promises to be truly remarkable. Your day to day
The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. You’ll be the person guests rely on to ensure the guest rooms, public areas and event spaces are presented immaculately.
As a Public Areas Cleaner – you’ll make sure our public areas, including pool, gym are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day at work or out exploring – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in - or get a bit of last-minute work done.
What we need from you
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 6 months experience in a Housekeeping position (with the right attitude we are will to train you). Luxury hotel experience would be an advantage.
You'll be known for your exceptional guest focus, attention to detail, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
A general passion for making people happy (you want to make a difference in someone’s day).
You are not afraid to greet guests in the corridors and enquire about their day.
You are praised for your overall attention to detail and care about your presentation.
It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important.
You might need to bend and kneel to complete some activities.
Strength – with occasional lifting of items up to 23 kilograms and or push/pulling heavy objects.
Our guests are with us 24/7 so our roster patterns reflect that - evening, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.
