Currently the hotel is operating as a WA Government Controlled Quarantine Facility.
Your day to day
Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guest's experience – as the Handy Person you’ll keep everything looking sharp and running like clockwork. From simple repairs to forward-thinking for the next day. With naturally high standards to support our own, you’ll approach every task with dedication and pride.
You will conduct general maintenance for the hotel in accordance with company standards and be able to demonstrate awareness and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures. You will assist with repair work and participate in the hotels preventative maintenance programs.
**Currently the hotel is operating as a WA Government Controlled Quarantine Facility and therefore our daily operations and procedures have changed to accommodate and adhere the needs and requirements of running a State Controlled Quarantine Facility.
What we need from you
We're looking for an energetic individual with great communication skills who works well within a team. You'll be an efficient self-starter and be able to work with limited supervision. You'll have a real passion for delivering high quality work and possess the ability to interact well with guests. You will need to be a team player with a collaborative approach to work as well as able to work autonomously on shift. You will need to have a keen eye for detail and a can do attitude.
Candidates must have:
· At least 2 years of general maintenance and/or repair experience with a good all-round knowledge of maintenance procedures, preferably within the hospitality industry.
· Experience in all or some of the following: air conditioning, door lock systems, painting, tiling, plumbing, general furniture repairs, with exposure to the hospitality industry desirable although not essential.
· Ability to work 'shift work' including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
· Willing and able to meet the inherent requirements of working in a Quarantine Facility, including:
o following various safety policies & procedures,
o using personal protective equipment as trained (PPE), and
o willingness to have a mandatory Covid-19 vaccine
