When did you join IHG and in which department?

I joined IHG in April 2014 as General Manager of ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort, Okinawa-Japan.

What were your first impressions here?

As first time General Manager I was both impressed and relieved with the incredible support offered by my IHG colleagues. Also the valuable training programs offered to gain needed skillset to not only perform my job duties but also to bring to life IHG’s “Winning Ways” culture to colleagues, guests, community and owner.

Where do you want to get to next?

I learned that IHG is a dynamic organization committed to each employee’s skillset and leadership development. It also creates an environment in which each colleague can make a meaningful difference, whilst understanding each colleague’s individuality and career aspirations.

Where can you see yourself in the years to come?

Not a location, job title or pay-check, but instead an organization that understands me as an individual. IHG is willing to provide me with development and future opportunities where I can add the greatest value to my surroundings whilst continuing to self-develop, that’s Winning Ways, that’s IHG to me.
